One more experiment, then done for the day. I wonder what will happen if I use the same code for two comments. Somebody give both a whirl, please! Same topic as below

Guess I should share how I added the discussion feature, right, and explain why it isn't automatic.
1. Go to the "Quick Topic" website.
2. Follow their very simple directions.
3. Next time you add an entry here, just remember to also go to Quick Topic and start a new topic. New topic

Obviously an automated topic generator would be preferable, but this is a really good option. Maybe we also need to explore some other hosting options this summer.

Wow, the comment feature is so dang easy I went and added it to my other blogs. Credit must go to the McLuhan Program Blog. I guess I next have to figure out how to add the "QuickTopic" icon.

I also tried to add some links to the template, but they haven't shown up yet. Getting that old "error" message. Maybe I need to log out and come back in.

Okay, I am trying to figure out how to add a discussion board to our weblog. It seems pretty easy! Discuss

Team, we've been found and filtered by Barclay Barrios at Rutgers in his very useful and readable "Year of the Blog" . He also has Cullen Wells' site linked--Cullen got picked up by Seb-log earlier in the semester (fall 2002), and his site seems to have been picked up by others like Barclay.

I don't know what pedagogical implications this has, but it seems to say something interesting about the circulation of information--or the six degrees of separation--blogging contributes to.

A few weblog article goldmines:

http://www.techlearning.com/db_area/archives/TL/2003/02/blogs.html
Does a nice job with some concrete examples (Will Richardson and others), and ends with a strong section on assessment.

Blogs and Wikis : http://llt.msu.edu/vol7num2/emerging/default.html
Rich set of links to follow up. These two articles alone will keep me busy for weeks.
